- sleeping bags - 5 for Nicola and family (2 fairly good ones and 3 others which are more lightweight - BLANKETS needed in addition. I have 1 more lightweight sleeping bag if anyone wants it and various other "snuggle bags"which would need to be doubled up or used with blankets)
Alex and Aidan bringing own tents
Meet at 14:00 on Saturday. End by noon on Sunday.
Check out page 352 of Webelos book for items to bring. It should be warmer at the weekend than the last few days . . . . but that still means fairly cold compared to the last 2 weekends so thermal underwear / pyjamas would be really good or at least extra layers, extra blankets essential, hiking boots or good walking shoes. Even though this is supposed to be relatively primitive, don’t be embarrassed to take a duvet with you if you don'’t think you have the warmest sleeping bags. Especially for those who are camping for the first time, I wouldn’t like the boys to be put off future camping weekends if they feel the cold overnight. Bring a compass if you have one, and the boys should bring their "seat". You do not need any of the cooking equipment listed (obviously still needs plates, cutlery etc.)
We will camp in the Versoix woods. On the Cub scout website - check out the "campsites" in the "pages" at the right hand side then page down to Versoix camping. You can zoom the map in and out to see better where it is.
