The Geneva Girl Scouts are a group of all-volunteer women leaders, co-leaders and other helpers and the nearly 100 English-speaking girls who join girl scout troops in the Geneva area each year.

The Geneva organization is part of the US Girl Scouts, so the books, badges and procedures used in Geneva correspond to those used in the United States.

Any girl who is fluent in English and is interested in scouting is most welcome to join a troop at any age, even if she has never been in scouts before.

The Girl Scout movement is dedicated to helping girls aged 6 to 18 learn to be strong, independent, responsible, active and creative. While having fun, girl scouts learn leadership skills and values which will serve them well their entire life.

Activities include campouts, hikes, outings, trips (within Switzerland as well as international), and earning badges on subjects as diverse as science, travel, outdoor cooking, prints and graphics, wildlife, and many more. In addition, each troop does at least one community project during the year, such as singing for people in a retirement community or raising money for an animal shelter.

We always need leaders and helpers - please volunteer! Many leaders and co-leaders are mothers of girls in the program, and parents whose daughter will be in scouts must be willing to volunteer some help during the year, acting as leaders or co-leaders, helping out at meetings or helping to organize outings and accompanying the troop. Without your help we can’t guarantee that there will be a troop for your daughter’s age group. However we would also love to invite all English speaking women to consider supporting the Geneva girl scouts, whether you are single, have older or younger children, don’t have children of your own or retired; regardless of previous involvement in any Girl Scouting movement; if you can offer a weekly committment to a troop or an occasional help with a particular skill that you have to offer, it would be great to have you involved.

What level of troop will your daughter be in ?
